U.S. Senator Ashley Moody (R-FL) joined Fox & Friends First on Tuesday to discuss the prosecution of individuals leaking sensitive information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations, calling such actions a felony and vowing to hold leakers accountable. Moody also highlighted the ongoing push to confirm President Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees, criticizing Democrats for their obstructionist tactics.

Moody emphasized the seriousness of leaking information that undermines federal investigations, particularly those related to ICE’s efforts to enforce immigration laws.

“If you obstruct justice, if you try to get in the way of a federal investigation or a federal action, that is incredibly serious. It’s a felony. You can spend years in prison,” Moody said.

She praised Attorney General Pam Bondi for her commitment to aggressively prosecuting those who leak sensitive information about ICE operations. “When they say they’re going to enforce the law, they mean it,” Moody added, referencing the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance approach to leaks that compromise national security and public safety.

Moody also defended ICE’s operations, noting that the individuals targeted by the agency are often dangerous and pose a threat to public safety. “Nobody wants them in this country,” she said. “We need these efforts to work, and we need to make this country secure again.”

Turning to the confirmation process for President Trump’s cabinet nominees, Moody criticized Democrats for their continued efforts to delay and obstruct. “The motto of the Democrats has been to obstruct, delay, and waste time, when President Trump is simply trying to make this country safe again,” she said.

Moody highlighted the administration’s progress in confirming key nominees, including 13 individuals so far, and expressed optimism about upcoming confirmations. “I believe Tulsi [Gabbard], RFK Jr., will push forward this week. I think [Kash] Patel will come out of committee this week,” she said.

She accused Democrats of being so focused on opposing the president that they fail to consider the merits of his policies and appointments. “They’re not even looking at what spending he’s trying to freeze. It’s absurd. They’re not even looking at the people he’s trying to ship out of our country. Many are very, very dangerous,” Moody said.

Moody reiterated her commitment to supporting President Trump’s agenda, particularly his efforts to strengthen national security and enforce immigration laws. “We’re going to keep our eye on the ball. We’re going to get this done for the American people and get our house in order,” she said.

The senator’s comments come amid heightened scrutiny of ICE operations and the administration’s broader efforts to address illegal immigration.

Recent leaks about planned ICE raids have sparked controversy, with critics accusing the administration of targeting vulnerable communities. However, Moody and other Republicans argue that such operations are necessary to uphold the rule of law and protect public safety.
