Gulf Highlands Elementary In Port Richey Resumes Normal Operations After Suspicious Person Report

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Gulf Highlands Elementary School in Port Richey has resumed normal operations following a brief period of controlled campus status. The heightened security measures were implemented earlier today in response to a report of a suspicious person near the school.

Pasco Sheriff’s deputies conducted a thorough search of the area surrounding the campus but did not locate any suspicious individuals.


PREVIOUS REPORT: Gulf Highlands Elementary School in Port Richey is currently on controlled campus status as Pasco Sheriff’s deputies investigate a report of a suspicious person near the school.

The increased law enforcement presence on campus is a precautionary measure while the investigation is underway.
