Poinciana Tow Truck Driver Arrested In Davenport On Theft, Drug Charges

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Markus Anthony, a 32-year-old tow truck driver from Poinciana, was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on Sunday evening, February 9th.

Anthony was wanted on an active warrant stemming from an investigation into a theft from a towed vehicle. The warrant included charges of grand theft of a firearm, burglary of conveyance, armed burglary, and petit theft.

Around 10:13 p.m. on Sunday, a PCSO deputy spotted Anthony driving his white Chevy tow truck at the Island Club West Resort off Sand Mine Road in Davenport. The deputy conducted a traffic stop, and Anthony was arrested on the outstanding warrant.

In addition to the warrant charges, Anthony was also charged with violation of probation (possession of methamphetamine). He was transported to the Polk County Jail.
