Alabama Homicide Suspect Arrested In Florida After Pursuit

A multi-agency effort led to the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide investigation in Baldwin County, Alabama.

On January 30, 2025, Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) patrol deputies were searching for a vehicle believed to be involved in the Alabama homicide case. The vehicle had been reported stolen and was last seen in Reddick, Florida.

Deputies located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver, 22-year-old Zachri Frazier, fled at a high rate of speed. After a brief pursuit, Frazier stopped and was taken into custody.

He was charged with Fleeing to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer, Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Providing a False ID to Law Enforcement, and Driving without a License.

Further investigation revealed that Frazier was connected to the Alabama murder case, and the vehicle he was driving belonged to the victim.

MCSO detectives are assisting the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) with their homicide investigation.
