Fatal Crash Claims One Life, Injures Adult And 6 Children In St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A fatal crash involving two SUVs occurred this afternoon in St. Petersburg, leaving one person dead and seven others injured.

The crash occurred at 3:25 p.m. at the intersection of 34th Street South and Fairfield Avenue South. One adult was pronounced dead at the scene. One adult and six children were transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

All lanes of 34th Street South are currently closed in both directions between 6th Avenue South and 7th Avenue South while police investigate the crash.
