PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A Pasco County fire truck responding to a fatal crash was struck by another vehicle Wednesday evening, resulting in injuries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Little Road. A Honda pickup truck, driven by a 53-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling northbound on Little Road at a high rate of speed.

A Pasco County fire truck, with its emergency lights activated, was traveling southbound on Little Road. The fire truck, driven by a 35-year-old firefighter, was responding to an earlier fatal crash and turned left into the private drive of 9426 Little Road.
The driver of the Honda pickup truck failed to slow down or stop and collided with the right side of the fire truck. The pickup truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The firefighter driving the fire truck suffered minor injuries but was not transported from the scene.
