CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a water rescue call this afternoon off the north end of Clearwater Beach. The call came in at 2:21 p.m. from a boater who discovered a woman floating unresponsive in the water.
First responders brought the woman to shore and performed CPR. She was transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Clearwater Police homicide detectives are currently investigating the death. No further details are available at this time.
