ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – The City of Zephyrhills is excited to announce the grand opening of Hercules Park, the first new community park built in the city in 40 years. The grand opening celebration will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 38100 County Road 54. The event is open to the public.
The 12-acre park is designed to meet the recreational needs of Zephyrhills’ growing population, featuring a nature-based playground, splash pad, scenic trails, open pavilions, and restrooms.

The park’s design, by Kimley-Horn and built by Wharton-Smith, Inc., pays homage to the city’s history by incorporating elements inspired by the Hercules Powder Company, which operated Camp No. 39 on the site over 70 years ago.
“This park is a testament to our city’s growth and commitment to providing quality recreational opportunities for all of our residents,” said Zephyrhills City Manager Billy Poe. “Hercules Park will be a place where families can create lasting memories while honoring our community’s rich history.”
