Achieve Center Instructional Assistant Arrested After Attacking 8-Year-Old: New Port Richey Police

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Allan Craig, an Instructional Assistant at the Achieve Center located at 6915 Madison Street, New Port Richey, has been arrested and charged with felony child abuse and tampering with a witness.

The arrest follows an investigation into a child abuse complaint reported to the New Port Richey Police Department on January 28, 2025.

The investigation revealed that Craig had assaulted an eight-year-old student at the school. Witnesses reported that Craig pulled the child from under a table, threw him to the ground, and pushed him against a wooden cabinet before taking him to another room, according to investigators.

Police say the victim was observed with a bloody nose in that room and also alleged that Craig had choked him earlier that morning on the school bus.

Furthermore, Craig sent a text message to a teacher asking them to falsely claim that the victim had been involved in a fight with another child at the school.

Craig was arrested and booked into the Pasco County Jail. His booking photo is not yet available.
