SARASOTA, Fla. – Everett White, 44, of Sarasota, was arrested Monday morning in connection with a shooting that occurred earlier this month in North Sarasota. The arrest was made with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.
Sarasota Police Department officers responded to the 4300 block of N. Tamiami Trail shortly before 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, following reports of a shooting. One adult was injured in the incident, which police believe was isolated in nature.

White is currently being held without bond at the Sarasota County Jail. He is charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
The Sarasota Police Department is continuing its investigation into the shooting.
