In a passionate speech following the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance, Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, delivered a stirring message of hope, accountability, and commitment to restoring law and order in the United States. Addressing an enthusiastic crowd at Capital One Arena, Patel emphasized the dawn of a new era under the Trump administration, calling it the beginning of an “American dynasty of change.”
“We just inaugurated Donald J. Trump as our 47th president and JD Vance as our vice president,” Patel declared. “Because the American dream is alive and well. You chose that our dream can be the dream for our children and the dream for our world.”
Patel, the son of lawful immigrants, shared his personal journey of perseverance and dedication, underscoring his deep belief in the American Dream.
“My parents fled a genocidal dictatorship in Uganda. They waited in line, they stood in line because the American dream was worth standing in line for,” Patel said, emphasizing the importance of securing the nation’s borders and maintaining the integrity of immigration policies.
He pledged that under Trump’s leadership, America’s immigration policies would once again be the best in the world, ensuring that the system rewards those who follow the law.
“Dreams and hopes aren’t enough,” Patel stated. “We have to get to work.”

Patel outlined the alarming challenges facing the nation, citing sobering statistics:
- Over 100,000 drug overdose deaths in the last year.
- More than 100,000 rapes nationwide.
- A staggering 17,000 homicides.
Calling the situation “unacceptable,” Patel vowed that the Trump administration would make constitutional law and order a top priority.
“We will always honor the men and women who wear the cloth of our nation and stand on that wall to keep us safe,” Patel said to rousing applause. “Our law enforcement, our teachers, our first responders — you have our backs, and now we will have yours.”
Patel, a former prosecutor and national security official, pledged to put an end to what he called the “two-tier system of justice” and the weaponization of federal agencies for political purposes.
“Under Donald J. Trump and JD Vance, we are going to remove the weaponization of the intelligence community for political purposes and put the American people first,” Patel promised.
He also stressed the importance of securing America’s borders, fighting the influx of fentanyl, and prioritizing safety for future generations.
Patel concluded his speech with a heartfelt call to action, urging Americans to stand together and support those who serve their communities.
“Every time you see a law enforcement officer, a veteran, a teacher—shake their hand and give them a little bit of your time,” Patel encouraged. “Because they’re giving us all of their time.”
With confidence and unwavering commitment, Patel closed with a powerful declaration:
“I’m living the American Dream. My name is Kash Patel, and I ain’t going anywhere. Let’s go to work!”
