HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A motorcycle crash on Friday afternoon in Hillsborough County has resulted in the death of a 47-year-old Apollo Beach woman.
The incident occurred around 2:22 PM on State Road 589 near Milepost 9. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by a 42-year-old man from Apollo Beach was traveling northbound when the rear tire blew out.

The tire blowout caused the driver to lose control of the motorcycle, resulting in it overturning. Both the driver and his passenger, a 47-year-old woman also from Apollo Beach, were ejected from the motorcycle.
Both riders sustained serious injuries in the crash. They were transported to a local hospital, where tragically, the female passenger later succumbed to her injuries.
