TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers in Tampa should be aware of a lane closure on South West Shore Boulevard, which is currently in effect.
The outside northbound lane of South West Shore Boulevard is closed between West Fair Oaks Avenue and West Chapin Avenue. This closure is necessary to allow crews from the Tampa Water Department to repair a water main break.

Drivers should anticipate delays in the area and are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible.
Barricades and signs have been placed in the area to help manage traffic flow and ensure safety in the work zone.
The Tampa Water Department aims to complete the repairs and reopen the lane by 5:00 PM on Friday, January 17th. However, the repair schedule may be affected by weather conditions.
