ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The St. Petersburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole a valuable glass sculpture from an art gallery last November.
The theft occurred on November 11th, 2024, at the Duncan McClellan Gallery on Emerson Avenue South. Surveillance footage shows two men entering the gallery, with one distracting a sales associate while the other swipes a cast glass sculpture titled “Torso XI” by artist Latchezar Boyadjiev.
The sculpture is valued at $21,000.

The suspect who took the sculpture is described as wearing an oversized blue T-shirt, baggy blue jeans, a baseball cap, and sneakers. He was carrying a dark-colored shoulder bag with a long strap around his neck.
One of the suspects, Willie Wilson, 45, was arrested on January 7th and charged as a principal to grand theft. He was wearing the red hoodie during in the video.
