A former Florida police officer and member of the Proud Boys has been sentenced to prison for his actions during the January 6th, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Tuck, a former member of the “Space Coast” chapter of the Proud Boys, was among a group of approximately 100 Proud Boys who marched to the Capitol on January 6th. He entered the Capitol grounds and, after breaching police lines, made his way to the Senate Carriage Door.

Tuck pushed past a line of Capitol Police officers, making physical contact with at least one officer in the process. He then spent nearly an hour inside the Capitol building, where he reportedly berated officers, shouting at them and calling them “communists.”

After leaving the building, Tuck posed for a celebratory photograph with other Proud Boys and bragged in a text message to family members that he had “fought the police.”

In subsequent text messages with his father, Tuck expressed his belief that “violence is the only way we will win.”
