DAVENPORT, Fla. – Two Davenport men have been arrested in connection with a theft at a store in Champions Crossing.
22-year-old Na’Jir Saunders and 33-year-old Isaiah Teat were taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, January 7th, following an investigation into the theft, which resulted in a loss of $3,950.

The incident occurred at a store in the Champions Crossing shopping center on US 27. A witness to the crime was able to provide deputies with the license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle, which ultimately led to the identification and apprehension of Saunders and Teat.
The stolen items included various articles of clothing, a large container of Delta 8 cannabis, and a tip jar containing approximately $40.
A search of the suspect’s vehicle and residence resulted in the recovery of a significant portion of the stolen property.

Both Saunders and Teat were arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail. They are facing a slew of charges, including:
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Unarmed burglary of an occupied structure
- Grand theft
- Possession of cannabis over 20 grams
- Conspiracy to commit structure burglary
- Conspiracy to commit grand theft
