Tips for Staying Safe in Cold Weather:

  • Dress in layers: Wear warm clothing, including hats, gloves, and scarves.
  • Limit outdoor exposure: Minimize time spent outdoors, especially during the coldest parts of the day.
  • Check on vulnerable neighbors: Make sure elderly or disabled neighbors have adequate heat and supplies.
  • Protect pets: Bring pets indoors or provide them with warm shelter.

The cold weather shelter is a vital resource for those in need, and Pasco County’s proactive response demonstrates a commitment to the safety and well-being of all its residents.
