Taking center stage is “Spot,” a robotic dog and key member of the PSO’s Innovation and Readiness Division and Unmanned Systems Team.
Spot, with its agile design and advanced capabilities, is revolutionizing how deputies approach high-risk situations. Controlled remotely via a handheld tablet, Spot allows deputies to assess dangerous scenarios from a safe distance.

This robotic deputy is proving invaluable in situations involving barricaded subjects, threats to facilities, and searches of unsafe structures.
Spot’s capabilities include:

Navigating challenging terrain: Spot can easily maneuver through obstacles and reach areas inaccessible to humans.
Providing real-time situational awareness: Equipped with cameras and sensors, Spot relays vital information back to deputies, allowing for informed decision-making.
