Tampa Traffic Alert: Lane Closure On West Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. For Water Main Repair

TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers in Tampa should anticipate delays on West Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard due to a lane closure for water main repairs.

Starting at 11:00 AM today, the outside eastbound lane of West Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be closed between North Poplar Avenue and North Ridge Avenue. Crews from the Tampa Water Department will be working to repair a water main break.

Barricades and signs will be in place to direct traffic. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through the area.

The lane closure is expected to remain in effect until 5:00 PM on Thursday, January 9th. However, the Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work.

The Water Department appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as they work to repair the water main and restore service to the area.
