Former Postal Supervisor In Missouri Pleads Not Guilty To Stealing Checks From The Mail

A former U.S. Postal Service supervisor appeared in federal court in Missouri on Thursday to face charges of stealing checks from the mail.

Benita D. Randle, 42, was indicted on December 11th on one count of theft of mail by a U.S. Postal Service employee.

The indictment alleges that on October 31st, 2023, Randle stole approximately 90 checks from mail that was under the care of the Postal Service for delivery.

At the time, Randle was a supervisor at the St. Louis Processing and Distribution Center.

Randle pleaded not guilty to the charges during her court appearance on Thursday. If convicted, she could face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
