LARGO, Fla. – A Christmas Day domestic disturbance in Largo has left a woman in critical condition and her husband facing attempted murder charges.
Largo Police responded to a call on Pinecone Way on December 25th, where the caller, 78-year-old Jonathan McPhee, stated that he had killed his wife and was planning to take his own life.
Officers arriving at the scene discovered McPhee with a self-inflicted stab wound and a female victim suffering from severe blunt force trauma. Both individuals were rushed to a local hospital and remain in critical condition.

Following a preliminary investigation, Largo Police detectives charged McPhee with Attempted First-Degree Murder. Details about the events leading up to the attack have not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Largo Police Department.
