TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police have arrested 24-year-old Michael Horace-Fleming in connection with a December 5th shooting that left one man dead and two others seriously injured.
The shooting occurred just after 9:30 PM on December 5th at a residence in the 1700 block of E. Sitka Street. Officers responding to the scene discovered three adult Black male victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. All three were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

A few days later, one of the victims, a 28-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries, leading investigators to reclassify the case as a homicide. The other two victims, aged 27 and 21, have since been released from the hospital and are recovering.
After a meticulous investigation, detectives identified Michael Horace-Fleming as the primary suspect. Authorities do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence.
On December 24th, the Tampa Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, in collaboration with the US Marshals Task Force, arrested Horace-Fleming at his residence in Temple Terrace without incident.

A Glock 23 firearm, believed to be the weapon used in the shooting, was recovered from Horace-Fleming’s vehicle and has been seized as evidence.
Horace-Fleming faces multiple charges, including:
- First Degree Murder
- Two counts of Aggravated Battery with Great Bodily Harm
- Felon in Possession of a Firearm
- Shooting At/Into/Within a Building
He is currently being held at the Orient Road Jail.
“This arrest brings a measure of justice to the victims of this senseless act of violence,” said Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw. “Our city is safer with this dangerous suspect off the streets. I commend the dedication and tireless work of our detectives, the US Marshals Task Force, and all involved in this investigation and apprehension.”

The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities are also seeking to identify and speak with a second individual reportedly seen at the time of the incident to understand their potential connection or knowledge of the events.
