A former Tampa man was sentenced in Pennsylvania to 20 years in federal prison followed by 10 years of supervised release for child sex crimes.
Thomas Edward Grossman III, 49, was convicted of transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to court documents, Grossman transported a minor from Pennsylvania to West Virginia for the purpose of sexual abuse. He also persuaded the minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct and enticed them into further criminal sexual activity.

United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter imposed the sentence and ordered Grossman to pay $3,000 in restitution and a $5,200 special assessment.
United States Attorney Olshan commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pennsylvania State Police, West Virginia State Police, and the Summersville, West Virginia, Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Grossman.
