A Florida man has pleaded guilty to one count of making a false statement to a federal agency. Robert David Gulledge, 59, of Jacksonville, faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison, with a sentencing date yet to be determined.
Court documents reveal that Gulledge fabricated a Form DD-214, a military discharge document, falsely claiming service in positions he never held and awards he never received while in the United States Marine Corps.

Gulledge first used the fraudulent document in 2009 to secure an Intelligence Analyst position on a government contract. He later submitted the same falsified form on two additional government contract job applications, one in 2017 and another in 2023.
The fraudulent document was also submitted as part of an appeal against a denial of a Veterans Affairs disability claim.
If convicted, Gulledge faces up to five years in federal prison for his actions, which undermined the integrity of military records and federal employment processes
