Winter Haven And Illinois Man Injured In Largo Wrong-Way Crash

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A wrong-way crash early Friday morning on Roosevelt Boulevard In Largo resulted in serious injuries for both drivers involved.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:02 a.m. near the intersection of . According to authorities, a Ford F150 driven by a 21-year-old man from Winter Haven was traveling westbound in the eastbound inside lane of Roosevelt Boulevard when it collided head-on with a Chrysler Pacifica.

The Pacifica was driven by a 48-year-old man from St. Charles, Illinois, who was traveling eastbound in the same lane.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported both drivers to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not indicated whether impairment or other factors contributed to the collision.
