MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 44-year-old Marathon man is facing legal consequences after being cited for possessing undersized lobsters.
Middle Keys Marine Deputy Luis Guiardinu conducted a vessel stop near Mile Marker 55 at approximately 11:54 a.m. on Wednesday. During the stop, Deputy Guiardinu discovered Orlando Otano Ramos in possession of three undersized lobsters, a violation of state wildlife regulations.

Ramos was issued a mandatory notice to appear in court. Authorities remind the public that adhering to size and bag limits for lobster and other marine species is essential for the sustainability of Florida’s marine ecosystems.
