MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 56-year-old woman from Tallahassee died Tuesday morning following a diving incident near Molasses Reef off Key Largo, according to authorities.

The victim, identified as Andrea Shultz, was diving with a commercial dive vessel when she was found unconscious in the water at approximately 10:08 a.m.

CPR was administered while the vessel transported her back to shore, but she did not survive.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office stated that foul play is not suspected at this time. The cause of death remains under investigation pending the results of an autopsy.

Molasses Reef, a popular diving spot in the Florida Keys, is known for its vibrant coral formations and marine life, attracting divers from around the world.

This incident remains under investigation.
