MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Two bricks of suspected cocaine were discovered washed ashore on Grassy Key early Monday morning.
The packages, each weighing approximately one kilogram, were found around 8:30 a.m. by a passerby near Edgewater Drive.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the individual reported the discovery, and the suspected drugs were subsequently turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol for further investigation.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the origin of the bricks or any ongoing investigations.
