Tampa Teen Killed After Being Ejected In Pasco County Crash

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old driver from Tampa was killed in a single-vehicle crash on US-41 in Pasco County on Thursday around 10:56 pm.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 17-year-old was driving a Subaru Impreza southbound on US-41 when they swerved to avoid a collision with a northbound Honda Civic that was attempting to pass other vehicles.

The Subaru then collided with a concrete culvert, overturned multiple times, and ejected the driver.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old passenger in the Subaru sustained serious injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
