A wave of mysterious drones has been spotted over New Jersey and New York, sparking concern and confusion among residents and officials.
Adding to the intrigue, Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) has made a shocking claim Wednesday, alleging that these drones may be originating from an Iranian “mothership” located off the East Coast of the United States.
While the FBI has not confirmed these claims, the U.S. Northern Command stated that they have not been requested to assist with the situation.

However, Congressman Van Drew insists that his information comes from “high sources” and that these drones pose a “clear and present danger,” particularly to the President-elect, whose Bedminster Golf Club is located near the drone sightings.

Adding to the confusion, the Pentagon has directly refuted Congressman Van Drew’s claims, stating that there is “no truth” to the existence of an Iranian mothership launching drones towards the United States.
Meanwhile, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has faced criticism for being a no-show at two briefings with local officials regarding the drone activity. Attendees expressed frustration over the lack of answers and heightened concerns following the meetings.

State police and Homeland Security officials admit that the technology of these drones is beyond their expertise. Senator John Bramnick, who attended one of the briefings, echoed these concerns, stating that he is now “more concerned than ever” about the drones.
Calls for increased involvement from the Department of Defense are growing, as local officials believe they lack the technology and resources to effectively monitor and address the situation.
Governor Murphy acknowledged the sophistication of the drones and the potential threat they pose to sensitive targets and critical infrastructure. He highlighted the presence of military assets, utility infrastructure, and the President-elect’s residence in the area.
