California Man Indicted In Florida For Cyberstalking

A California man has been indicted on federal cyberstalking charges in Florida, announced U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg.

Girish Subburaman, 24, is accused of using the internet, social media, and cell phone networks to harass and intimidate a victim residing in Lake County, Florida. The alleged cyberstalking occurred between September 2023 and October 2023.

If convicted, Subburaman faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on October 22, 2024.

The indictment alleges that Subburaman engaged in a pattern of online conduct that caused substantial emotional distress to the victim. His actions were reportedly intended to injure, harass, and intimidate.
