South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace, a member of the House Oversight Committee, addressed a range of contentious political issues, including Hunter Biden’s pardon, accusations of corruption within the Biden administration, and challenges facing her Republican Party.

Rep. Mace voiced strong support for former President Donald Trump’s legal team, asserting that their actions are justified in the face of what she described as politically motivated efforts to discredit him. “November 5th was a reckoning,” Mace said, referring to the backlash against what she termed “lawfare” targeting Trump. She claimed that the alleged misuse of judicial power by the Biden administration to attack political opponents represents “some of the highest levels of corruption the U.S. government has ever seen.”

Mace also criticized President Biden for granting a pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, arguing that it amounts to “Joe Biden pardoning himself” and accused the administration of prioritizing its interests over justice.

The congresswoman suggested that Democrats are turning on President Biden, not because of his actions, but because they view him as no longer politically viable. “They’ve been lying to the American people for years,” Mace said, alleging that Democratic leaders misled the public about Biden’s cognitive abilities and corruption linked to foreign dealings involving countries like China, Ukraine, and Russia.

Mace cited growing internal criticism among Democrats as evidence of their shifting priorities, labeling Biden’s recent decisions, such as pardoning Hunter Biden and prioritizing foreign aid, as politically damaging.

Mace highlighted discrepancies in how the administration allocates resources, criticizing Biden for sending aid to Africa while families in her home region, including South Carolina, are denied disaster relief. “When you don’t put the American people first, there should be consequences,” she said, predicting months of political turmoil as a result.

The congresswoman acknowledged the importance of calling out dishonesty within her own party as well as the opposition. “You can’t continue to lie to the American people the way [the Democrats] have been,” she said, adding that accountability is essential for both Republicans and Democrats. “I call balls and strikes on both sides,” she emphasized, urging her colleagues to prioritize honesty and transparency.

Mace also addressed criticism of her stance on transgender policy, particularly regarding workplace safety for women. Referencing Montana lawmakers’ rejection of a proposal to restrict bathroom use for transgender legislators, she defended her advocacy for women’s safety. “Women are not going to feel safe in their work environment if these policies persist,” Mace said. She called the situation “immoral” and argued it creates hostile work conditions for women.
