TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa police are investigating a home invasion that ended with a teenager shooting the intruder.
The incident occurred on Sunday, December 1st, around 3:36 p.m. on the 1100 block of 109th Avenue. Police say a male suspect in his mid-teens unlawfully entered an occupied residence and was confronted by a teenage resident.

During the confrontation, the resident shot the suspect, who then fled the scene. Police located the suspect nearby with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Police have recovered a firearm and are continuing to investigate the incident. Charges are pending against the suspect.
