LUTZ, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a devastating murder-suicide that occurred in Lutz on Friday, November 29th.
Deputies responded to a home on the 17600 block of Cranbrook Drive after a mother discovered her 5-year-old son and his father deceased.

“This is an incredibly heartbreaking loss for this family, and our prayers are with them during this unimaginable time,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Tragedies like this have a profound impact on everyone involved, including our deputies who responded to such a devastating scene right after Thanksgiving. We are committed to providing support to both the grieving family and our deputies as they process this difficult situation.”
The Sheriff’s Office is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragedy. No further details have been released at this time.
