ORLANDO, Fla.– A 25-year-old Orlando man, Timothy Stephens, has been indicted on federal charges of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and possessing an unregistered machine gun.
According to the indictment, on October 17, 2024, Stephens was found in possession of a Glock Model 30 that had been illegally modified to function as a machine gun. As a convicted felon, Stephens is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under federal law.

If convicted, Stephens faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison for the felon-in-possession charge and 10 years for the unregistered machine gun charge.
This case is being prosecuted as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a Department of Justice initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence.
