St. Petersburg Police Identify Victim In Fatal Convenience Store Shooting

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The St. Petersburg Police Department has identified the victim in Thursday night’s fatal shooting at the Three Brothers Market.

The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Marlan Smith. His next of kin has been notified.

The shooting occurred around 7:10 p.m. on November 21st at the convenience store located at 1040 16th Avenue South. Officers responded to the scene and found Smith suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No suspects are currently in custody. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information to contact the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Officers responded to the Three Brothers Market on 16th Avenue South around 7:10 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time. Detectives are canvassing the area for witnesses and potential surveillance footage.
