ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Drivers in St. Petersburg should be aware of upcoming overnight closures of the southbound I-275 ramp to 28th Street South (Exit 21).
The closures will take place on Thursday, November 21st, and Sunday, November 24th, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

During these closures, motorists will be detoured south on I-275 to Exit 19 (22nd Avenue South), then directed east to 31st Street South, north to 15th Avenue South, and finally east towards 28th Street South.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be in place to guide motorists through the detour. However, drivers should expect delays and plan accordingly.

These closures are part of an ongoing I-275 concrete pavement repair project that is expected to be completed in early 2026.
