OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A Kissimmee man is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming a $1 million prize from a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.
Andres Hoyos, 40, purchased his winning ticket from Key Food Supermarket on Fortune Road in Kissimmee. The lucky retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
Hoyos chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.00.

The winning ticket was from the $20 GOLD RUSH LIMITED game, which launched in September 2021. This game offers players the chance to win big with 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million. Overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.65.
Scratch-off games are a popular choice among Florida Lottery players and contribute significantly to education funding in the state. Since their inception, Scratch-Off games have awarded over $64.3 billion in prizes and generated more than $19.5 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
