TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are investigating the discovery of a second body found in the waters off the Courtney Campbell Causeway in less than 24 hours.
Shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person in the water. Upon arrival, they located the body of an adult black male. There were no obvious signs of trauma.
Detectives are working to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death.

This incident follows a similar discovery on Monday evening, when the body of a black male teenager was found in the same area.
The close proximity of the two discoveries and the similar circumstances surrounding them have raised concerns within the community. Police are urging anyone with information to contact the Tampa Police Department.
