Body Of Teenager Recovered From Tampa Bay, Police Seek Identification

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are investigating the death of a young man whose body was found in the waters off the Courtney Campbell Causeway Sunday evening.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m. on November 17th, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person in the water near the south side of the causeway.

Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a black male, estimated to be in his mid-teens. There were no obvious signs of trauma, and no identification was found at the scene.

Investigators are actively working to identify the individual and locate his next of kin. The cause of death is under investigation pending the Medical Examiners findings.
