TAMPA, Fla. – A quick response by Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies and K-9 units led to the arrest of a burglary suspect early Friday morning.
Around 4:00 a.m. on November 15th, deputies responded to a business burglary in progress at 13000 North Florida Avenue in Tampa. Upon arrival, they apprehended 27-year-old Elizardo Puello, who was found inside the business.

“The swift actions of our deputies ensured that the suspect was taken into custody before further harm could be done,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Let this serve as a reminder: if you break the law, you will be held accountable.”
Puello was arrested and charged with:
- Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure
- Possession of Burglary Tools
- Resisting an Officer Without Violence
He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
