ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – A 19-year-old bicyclist from Guatemala tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run crash on State Road 674 in Zephyrhills Saturday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. east of 4th Street. A red, early-model Dodge Charger with black rims was traveling eastbound when it struck the cyclist, who was also traveling eastbound.

The driver of the Charger fled the scene, leaving the young man with fatal injuries. Debris from the front of the vehicle was found at the crash site.
FHP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about the suspect vehicle to contact them at *FHP (*347) or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
