CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred late Saturday night in the 900 block of Vine Avenue.
At approximately 11:00 PM, officers responded to reports of gunfire and found a 52-year-old man with life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Morton Plant Hospital and later transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, where he remains in critical condition.

Preliminary findings suggest the shooting was drug-related, and the individuals involved were known to each other.
