Naples Man Sentenced For Possession Of CSAM

NAPLES, Fla. – Myles Edwin Huff, 46, of Naples, has been sentenced to five years in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber for possessing and accessing images depicting the sexual abuse of children. Huff will also be required to register as a sex offender.

Huff pleaded guilty to the charges on July 23, 2024. According to court documents, between July and September 2023, authorities received multiple reports from an electronic service provider indicating that Huff possessed child sexual abuse material.

This led to an investigation by the FBI and the Fort Myers Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.

A search warrant was executed at Huff’s residence on November 16, 2023, where his cell phone was seized. During questioning, Huff admitted to using his phone to access child sexual abuse material. Subsequent forensic examination of the phone confirmed the presence of such images.

“This case demonstrates our unwavering commitment to protecting children from exploitation,” said Assistant United States Attorney Yolande G. Viacava, who prosecuted the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual abuse and exploitation. Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who commit these crimes, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
