HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County is offering mini-grants of up to $5,000 to neighborhood associations for projects that strengthen and engage their communities.
The Neighborhood Mini-Grant Program is accepting applications for 2025, with a deadline of 5 p.m. on Friday, November 15th.
Eligible projects fall under these categories:
- Healthy Neighborhood: Projects promoting conservation, environmental stewardship, or healthy lifestyles.
- Safe Neighborhood: Initiatives that equip residents with knowledge and tools to prevent, confront, and respond to safety threats.
- Engaged Neighborhood: Unique projects that foster community engagement and bring neighbors together.

Last year, 17 neighborhoods received mini-grants for projects ranging from installing lighting and exercise equipment to creating community gathering spaces.
Who Can Apply:
Homeowners, civic, neighborhood, and condominium associations in Hillsborough County, including those within Tampa, Plant City, and Temple Terrace, are eligible to apply.
How to Apply:
Interested organizations must join the Neighborhood Roster and receive confirmation from Hillsborough County Neighborhood Relations before applying for a mini-grant.
