Gustavo Alfonso Castano Restrepo, 55, of Miami, has been indicted on charges of kidnapping resulting in death.
The indictment alleges that Restrepo kidnapped Liliana Moreno and her daughter in Miami-Dade County on or around May 30, 2016. The kidnapping resulted in the deaths of Liliana Moreno and her 8-year-old daughter, Daniella Moreno.
However, their bodies have never been located.

Restrepo allegedly used a cellular phone, the internet, a motor vehicle, and the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike in the commission of the crime.
The FBI offered a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the whereabouts of Liliana and Daniella Moreno.

Following his initial appearance in court, Restrepo was ordered detained and had a pre-trial detention hearing on November 1st.
If convicted, Restrepo faces a mandatory minimum sentence of life in prison. The maximum penalty for the charged offense is death.
The FBI is investigating this case, the Doral Police Department, the Miami-Dade Police Department, and the FBI’s South Florida Violent Crime/Fugitive Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dwayne Williams is prosecuting the case.
