Teen Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck By Two Cars In Tampa On Dale Mabry Highway

TAMPA, Fla. – A 17-year-old bicyclist was fatally struck by two vehicles in Tampa on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. on Dale Mabry Highway at the intersection of Mapledale Boulevard. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the teenager was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck by a southbound Honda Accord driven by a 17-year-old female.

The impact propelled the bicyclist into the path of a Mazda CX-5, also traveling southbound, resulting in a second collision.

The young bicyclist was transported to a local hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries. The drivers of both vehicles were uninjured.
