Rapper Cardi B was left speechless for a moment after an apparent teleprompter glitch halted her address during a Friday rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Wisconsin.
Harris leads former President Donald Trump by 0.2% in a head-to-head matchup in Wisconsin, according to the RealClearPolling average, but six of the last eight polls show Trump either tied or ahead in the crucial swing state he carried in 2016.
Aiming to shore up additional votes in the state, the “WAP” singer endorsed Harris at the rally, noting in her speech that she planned to sit out the election until the vice president replaced President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket.

“One second guys, one second,” the rapper said after the teleprompter appeared to malfunction, adding, “I’m a little nervous, guys! I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life.”
“I need Patience over here,” Cardi B said. “Patience, where are you girl?”
The rapper then read her speech off a cell phone handed to her after she worked the crowd.
Cardi B criticized President Joe Biden in 2023 over the Ukraine War and his handling of Israel’s response to the Oct. 7 terrorist attack by the radical Islamic terrorist group Hamas that killed over 1,200 people. She also complained about budget cuts by New York City, which was facing an influx of migrants, in the same video posted online.

“In New York, there is a $120 million budget cut in New York that’s going to affect schools, public libraries, and the police department. And a $5 million cut in sanitation,” Cardi B said in the video. “Bitch, we are going to be drowning in fucking rats.”
She also hit Biden over the economy in a 2022 post on Twitter.
“When y’all think they going to announce that we going into a recession?” she asked at the time.
