Florida Purple Alert Issued For Missing Tampa Man

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing man who may be in need of assistance.

53-year-old Stephen Johnson was last seen early this morning in the 300 block of Channelside Walk Way. His family is concerned for his well-being, prompting the issuance of a Purple Alert.

Johnson is described as a white male, approximately 5’11” tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with yellow stripes and brown shorts. He may be driving a silver 2016 Lexus 4-door sedan with Florida license plate NMNI82.

The Purple Alert is a Florida initiative designed to assist in the location of missing adults suffering from mental, cognitive, intellectual, or developmental disabilities.
