HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County is preparing to close most of its comfort stations that were established to assist residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton.
Seven of the eight comfort stations will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 31st. These stations have provided essential services to residents, including showers, restrooms, laundry facilities, and a cooling tent.
As of October 29th, the stations had served over 3,200 residents and provided more than 32,700 hot meals.

The comfort station at Seffner Mango Park will remain open through the weekend to continue assisting residents. However, it will be temporarily closed on Halloween to allow staff and their families to enjoy the holiday.
Comfort Station Locations Closing on October 31st:
- Wimauma Civic Center
- University Mall
- 9851 S. U.S. 41, Gibsonton
- Keith Waller Park
- University Area Community Development Corporation, Inc. (UACDC)
- Progress Village Senior Center
- Hillsborough Avenue and Hanley Road in Town ‘N Country
Seffner Mango Park Comfort Station:
- Remains open through the weekend.
- Temporarily closed on Halloween.
- Officially closes at 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 3rd.
